That's what I though when seeing the motor specs (11v) and also Tim posted a while ago a message saying it will not work, or it shouldn't work because of the required voltage.

Do the motors work without any modification or any aditional hardware ??? I already ordered 10x4.7 (APC and GWS) props , don't intend to get bigger props now. I belive the kit was also designed for props as large as 11x4.7.

What I meant to communicate was that the HK site states that the DT750 motors are not rated for 4s, but that does not mean it won't work. It's just that you're pushing the equipment further than the creator intended.

But, if it works reliably, that's all that matters. Also make sure your combo of 4s with these motors and a specific size prop does not blow through your Amps that your ESCs are rated for -- otherwise your ESCs can burn out.

Generally, you'll get the most efficiency (= longest flight time per mah) if your equipment runs cool and turns a prop slowly. The larger the prop the slower it will need to turn to lift your tricopter, but the larger the prop the harder the motors and ESC will work to speed the prop up and spin it. Varying the speed of your props constantly is the key in any multi-rotor. That's why you want high torque motors that have the ability to speed up a prop quickly and easily. This is another reason why the guys that do time-trials with their multi-rotors try to hover at a constant altitude so that the props can spin at a constant and low RPM.

I recently took over the Mr. Lifter multi-rotor contest at some other forum and a guy there got a quad to hover for an amazing 51 minutes with 8800mah (4 2200mah lipos). He was using huge (15" I think) and very light carbon props.

This morning I ordered the NX-4008 motors, there is one more thing I will have to order: the lipo charger which I think will be the iCharger 106b .. if I can't find other good and cheaper than $80 .

I only hope HK will ship all my orders in a month, because the waiting time is killing me

I have one good news and one bad news.

The good one is that I just seen the Turnigy 9X status in my order has changed from Backorder to Reserved (ordered it on 26 January), but the bad news is that my first order at HK wasn't already shipped, and I placed the order in 26 january 2011, is this normal at HK ? All the products in that order ware in stock and the status is Reserved, yesterday I sent a ticket but didn't received any reply yet. Now I'm trying to talk with someone on live chat, here too it seems I have to wait alot until one operator is available.

Don't forget that Chinese New Year just ended. That definitely interrupted EVERYTHING in China by as much as 10 days or more. They are probably working on tons of orders now that the holidays are finally over.

I though the hollydays ware over in 26 but probably they extended the period until 30 january (monday) . Since my first order (26 january) untill the order I placed yesterday they received ~ 30000 orders ( judging by the difference between the order number ) .. that's alot. Anyway I'm glad that they received the Turnigy radio so fast , on that order I have some 25A ESC which also are backordered, hope they will receive those too so I can get my radio faster.
