Hey guys,

I installed a CE 1.5 on my Bixler. I upgraded the motor and I am using a 30A speed controller with BEC.
The problem i am having is that when I power the OSD on the bench it works fine everything powers up fine. When I power the motor (full throttle), I'll get a lot of lines on my display (looks like electronic interference) and then the OSD info display (altitude, airspeed, battery info, GPS INFO) will disappear. When I power off (idle cutt off) the motor, the picture comes clear again, but no OSD info on the display.
I am using a 3s 11.1v 3.3Mah Battery. Any Ideas?
THANKS!

Your supply dirty current to your video equipment through your ESC and Motor. How is your video equipment powered? Directly to the battery?

Hi. I changed the jumper plug to feed the video equipment from a separate battery, and by doing this, it helped some. Now the osd display wont disapear, but I still get some video noise when I power the motor? Should I wrap the esc wire that goes into the reciever in a ferrite ring? Is that what those rings are for?

yep, clean the signal wires up as much as possible LC filters are good. I use a sepic type step up/down rec from dpcav to feed a steady 12.2 volts to my osd and video system constant through flight. that helps with voltage sag issues and cleans it a little
