I'm wanting to add a DVR at the Rx and thinking of using a Y, 1 to DVR and the other to the goggles. Will I lose quality?
Thanks!

The simple answer is yes,you will.
Maybe not a lot, maybe a lot...

Spend the $20 and get a video splitter.
PYLE brand, runs on 12v...

I use both...a splitter and an amp. In my own findings it doesn't hurt when you're just splitting it once....like to goggles and a recorder. When I run my full ground station, I use the AMP since I need every output the amp provides and quality does suffer when trying to split it that many times.

I'd say give it a try with just the splitter before worrying too much about the amp since you're only trying to split it once.

A Y splitter on a video signal will make the video appear darker.

Honestly I am using crappy video cables and I do not notice a single difference with splitting it. But it is true multiple splits will degrade it fast, so until you need 3 or more splits I wouldn't worry about it.

I didn't notice it so much in the goggles, however there is a significant difference in the ground recordings. I am using the world's cheapest USB capture card and not a DVR, if this matters.
