Theyre both 12v devices so running off 3s lipo shouldnt require a regulator. As for cables, you may need to make a solution depending on what youre hooking it u to.

Typically people purchase packages that come with additional cables for hooking to cameras and your battery. You don't need a voltage regulator if you are running off of a 3s battery, but you may need adapter cables depending on what you are trying to do.

could you recomend a wider angle lens for the camera?

3.6 is a comfortable lens for these cameras, but 2.8 will give you a wider view:

Assuming your batteries are 3s and use JST-XH style plugs, you need these cables to get up an running with a "plug in" solution:
2x: http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11_66_68&products_id=500
If you're using the same battery to power your vehicle too, you need one of these to go after the plug above:

Assuming the connector on that camera is the same size (they aren't always), you need this:

You need this to hook from the cable I linked to above to the receiver:

I've had an order open with Lawmate for a few weeks. They are horrible about answering emails. I've asked if they have a shipping estimate and they haven't answered. Their original quote said 2-4 weeks after I paid, and we're almost at 4 weeks, so hopefully they'll be shipping to me any day, or they already shipped.
